OMFG http_request_failed – cURL error 28:
-
Hi Daan…
When I configure the optimización mode as a: Manual (default), the follow error messages appears:
OMGF ha encontrado un error al descargar las fuentes de Google: http_request_failed – cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 30001 milliseconds with 0 bytes received
I am using the latest version of DIVI and WP-Rocket
If i change the optimization mode to: Automatic, OMGF works, but the performance is very poor, to the point that it is better not to have it because the performance is better without the OMGF plugin.
Thanks for your help, and I hope that this information helps you to help me, or to identify possible problems and you can improve them.
Luis

That’s actually very helpful. 🙂
Operation timed out after 30001 milliseconds with 0 bytes received
Which explains your other issue (please keep all information together in one support ticket, so I’m closing the other ones now and we’ll continue here). Apparently your server isn’t able to download all the fonts in 30 seconds. The fact that it says ‘0 bytes received’ means that it’s blocking the download altogether.
So there are a few things to research:
– Are your folder permissions (specifically OMGF’s cache folder) setup correctly? The folder should be 0755.
– Is your SSL certificate setup correctly? WordPress’ wp_remote_get() method verifies SSL certificates.
– At the moment that you attempt a download, can you find any other relevant entries in your PHP logs? This might point out why the downloads are blocked. Thanks Daan…
Thanks for your help….
I hope the follow information can be useful for you in order to improve the wonderful OMGF Plugin.I searched in the error.log file and found this lines:

LuisHi again, Luis,
Definitely helpful, but which version are you running? Because the current version doesn’t have a
foreach()at line 252 🙂Ok, nevermind. I see you’re using 4.1.1.
That bug was fixed in 4.1.3.
Thanks Daan….
I am using 4.2.3 version (Versión 4.2.3) …
The technical support at the hosting where my page is hosted, they do not find any problem associated with what is happening.
Thanks
LuisHi again, Luis,

Yesterday I tried to install version 4.1.1 without success. Those entries in the Log correspond to version 4.1.1, but now I have version 4.2.3 installed …, but it doesn’t work.
Thank you
LuisYeah, I thought so.
No entries in the PHP logs today, after you run a manual auto detect? (click ‘Save changes’)
HI Daan,

https://online-tesis.com/wp-content/cache/omgf-webfonts/et-gf-open-sans/open-sans-normal-700.woff2Hi! Sorry for never getting back to you.
If the requests you listed return 404’s, that means that the files don’t exist. I.e. you should rerun autodetection to make sure the files are recreated again.
Also, if you use a caching plugin like WP Rocket or WP Super Cache then change OMGF’s cache directory to something outside the
/cache/directory, e.g./uploads/omgf/.
