Maybe… depends on what your spending now for the hosting. You can’t host the site from your own PC but there may be cheaper hosting for your wordpress site.
Do be aware that free (or very cheap) hosting is not recommended and often has major problems running WP even with low traffic.

Paying £60.00 each for 2 domains The £30.00 package has hosting e-mail
all that the more expensive one has, but no mysql or php management and wordpress. Just thought I could control that side on my pc. Mike-D
Also be aware that hosting fees vary from hosting company to hosting company and that there are options. Again, if you feel that you are paying too much for hosting, more than likely there are other options. You would have to post what you are currently paying for others to make suggestions for a change to a good but less expensive host. If your paying $5 or less per month for the hosting of that site you are probably doing well.

NO… you can’t host it from your PC but you can get cheaper hosting for the sites. The hosing company should be offering you an admin area where you can control the site. You don’t have to get a hosting plan that gives auto install of wordpress… very easy to install without the auto install. Also, some hosting companies have the auto install thru “Fantastico” but it may not be the latest version. Hence another reason to install yourself instead of using an auto install script from the hosting company.
It does kind of depend on where you are located. Could recommend some great hosting here in the USA but if your located elsewhere you may want to do some research on hosting companies closer to you.
