One gallery creating multiple slideshows

Thanks in advance for the help.

The issue I’m having is that if I try to add photos to a gallery after using the “create gallery” feature and then insert the gallery into a page, only the photos I originally selected show up in the slideshow. If there are 12 photos in the gallery, the slideshow will only show the first 10 that I added and I have to click on the thumbnail of one of the two additional photos in order to enlarge them. When I do, those two come up in a slideshow of their own, despite being part of the same gallery as the other 10.
