One Player with Multiple "Handle Names"

    I have several players who play with more than one Handle Name. Some use two, some use as many as five. The current Registration protocol only allows an email address to be used ONCE. Hence, if someone wants to play more than one Handle Name and they only have one email address they cannot register the additional Handle Names. Can you suggest a “work around” for this?

    It’s a limitation of WordPress. What you can do is after registration change the email address to a fake address (e.g. [email protected]) and register again with the other address (etc.), but then you won’t be able to use the mailfunctions (e.g. the mail that is sent when a user forgets his password) of WP for the first user.

    You can also search for a plugin that overrides this normal behavior, but I can’t guarantee that this won’t collide with my plugin. Because my plugin also hooks into the registration process.

    Excellent idea. In the few cases where this might happen, I am going to let Users register their main Handle Name and request they list the other handle name(s) they would like to use in the Biographical Data. Then, I will administratively register each of those additional Handle Names with fake email addresses. I will create easy passwords and notify them through their Main Handle Name email.
