One Sidebar Not Two

I’m setting up my new website. I’ve installed WordPress and I chose Savona Bold for my theme. I tried to have the sidebar on the left side and my blog over to the right side.

For some odd reason, I have a right sidebar with Recent Posts and Recent Comments. I don’t want those options on my blog.

Which setting do I change to have just a left sidebar? I’m not finding it yet.
