Hello. I am using the OneSocial theme and it has big compatibility issues with LearnLMS. I tried to activate the sidebars in both ways described on your website, but they did not work. There are some other issues with styling as well. Is there an easy fix for these problems? What should I do in order to use properly LearnLMS?

Also, I installed your LifterLMS Labs app and it does not remove the featured image from the course page (I had to use CSS). And can you tell me how to disable the notifications which appear every time in the top right corner when a user completes a section?

It’s LifterLMS (not LearnLMS) but I know what you mean!

As OneSocial is a premium (paid) theme I can’t access the codebase to see if this is a compatibility issue that we could resolve. As a rule we no longer provide compatibility code for themes that don’t support LifterLMS. Imagine my position: I’m a single developer trying to build something that works out of the box with several thousand themes. My task is impossible…

Since you paid for this theme my guess is that you have access to support channels. Can you request some assistance from their side?

What should I do in order to use properly LearnLMS?

We’re working to partner with more and more theme developers to get more and more themes natively working with LifterLMS out of the box. At the moment there’s two incredible (free) themes that natively support LifterLMS. I’d recommend them:

    https://ww.wp.xz.cn/themes/astra/
    https://ww.wp.xz.cn/themes/oceanwp/

Also, I installed your LifterLMS Labs app and it does not remove the featured image from the course page (I had to use CSS).

Many themes support featured images for custom post types natively. If this doesn’t work it’s because it’s not being output by LifterLMS since your theme does featured images on it’s own. I need to clarify the language in the lab. I keep forgetting to do that and I’m sorry. Since it isn’t working custom CSS (or contacting your theme devs to get their help with a custom action) is the best solution available.

And can you tell me how to disable the notifications which appear every time in the top right corner when a user completes a section?

Head to LifterLMS -> Settings -> Notifications and select “Basic” for the notifications you’d like to disable. In there you can configure the subscribers. Uncheck the box for “Students” and click save. This will disable the notifications of your choice.

    Hi Thomas,
I understand it is hard to be compatible with every theme, I will try to figure out how to add the sidebars. I already paid $100 for the OneSocial theme and it is great for a community website, so I guess the best option for me would be to try to fix the issues one by one.
    Cheers
