I’m not sure that I understand. You only want certain announcements to display on the timeline from a given year?

If you want to alter the dates, we have a number of hooks and filters built into the plugin to allow you to do so – and have written out a number of documentation articles explaining how to carry it out. You may want to take a look at the following:
