Hi @koheys,
That message is neither a WordPress (REST API) nor a Solid Security plugin message. So my best guess is that it’s a message generated by another (yet unknown) plugin.
So started a search using Google and found that this message is generated by the Password Protected plugin. Are you using this plugin?
If so, you should probably enable “Allow REST API Access” under Protected Permissions.
+++ To prevent any confusion, I’m not SolidWP +++

According to the Password Protection plugin 2.6.8 Changelog:
Fix: Gutenberg compatibility issue fixed – REST API was getting blocked
Make sure to update the Password Protection plugin to the latest release (2.6.8) 😉
