Only backing up remotely

    Hi Victor,

    The option to not store backups on the server can be found in the ‘expert settings’ section of the UpdraftPlus Settings tab, labelled ‘Delete local backups’.

    Make sure this box is checked, then save your settings. If you run a backup with the option enabled and the backup remains on the server, then it is possible that the backups are not completing correctly.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your response. That is checked off, and it seems as if somehow it is still saving the backup locally. Any suggestions?

    Hi,

    Could you send us a copy of the latest backup log? This log can be found in the Existing Backups tab of the UpdraftPlus settings page.

    The contents of the log will be too long to post here directly, but you can use an online service such as Pastebin, and post the link here.

    Hi Victor,

    Are you asking whether it’s possible to create the zip file directly at Dropbox, instead of:
    1) Creating it locally
    2) Sending it to Dropbox
    3) Deleting the local copy
    ?
