Hi,
The “featured image” rules apply only for the regeneration of the featured image, not for the upload, and that is due to how WordPress itself makes an image to be “featured” or not for a post.
This is the note from the UI:
RULES THAT WOULD APPLY ONLY FOR REGENERATING THE FEATURED IMAGE
Set below rules that would apply only to regenerating the featured image. An image becomes a "Featured Image" after the upload was already processed and when the post is saved, hence the rules set below can apply only when regenerating the image.
Regarding the option remaining checked, I will test and see if I can replicate the issue.

I could replicate the issue with the option remaining stuck and pushed a fix. Please upgrade to 7.2.3.
The setting works fine again, but is there any way to stop the auto regerenate when upload a new image? I want to regerenate only selected image

To remove some sub-sizes from being generated, you can use the general settings (global ignore) or in the advanced settings use the first part of the settings for the group (which applies to all images for the group, not just for regenerating the featured image).
Example of settings to generate only the thumbnail for images uploaded to post_type = post

Does the plugin have bug again, every settings and button are not clickable. But anyway I tried the advanced rules, the new images uploaded to post still auto generate, even if it’s featured image or normal image. It’ll be cool if I can Manually generate the image I select.
Depending on the combination of plugins you have installed, the core version and PHP version, there could be minor differences, but all features should work as intended.
You can manually remove/generate or regenerate all sub-sizes for any of the images you upload, please see more details on my website, if you are not familiar with the plugin features. Also, you could check the demo video to see what you can do for individual image.

the plugin works well again, the bug maybe happens when I try to use 2 advanced rules combine with hide and unavailable setting. I tried 3 times and it crashed my post editor and all settings are not clickable. For now the plugin works as I want. Thanks for the support.

Regarding the issue with crushing your editor, I could investigate further, and try to replicate your settings and setup the same environment and plugins (if possible) if I have some details from you. I want to see if there is an incompatibility with other components or PHP version, as I cannot replicate any errors in my setup. You could activate the import/export extension from the features manager tab and send me the JSON code from your settings, and also from the debug tab the details about your setup.
