This is possible if you modify the code. Let me know if you are comfortable modifying the code and I can show you where to do it.
Also, I’m currently working on a new version with an admin section that would make this much easier. I’m not sure when it will be done though 🙂

How did you fix this? Because I also have the same issue. I want the register form to include only specific groups to select (I also know the group ID), where or which line do I have to adjust?

Can be easily found when you type it in the searchbar in WordPress Plugins.
