Hello, is there any way to open the .crypt files where my encrypted database is stored in under Windows? I just want to check if the backup on my Google Drive is valid without uploading it to a server.

Hi,

The only way to decrypt and UpdraftPlus database is through the encryption phrase in the “Settings” tab. See FAQ: https://updraftplus.com/faqs/i-encrypted-my-database-how-do-i-decrypt-it/

If you have PHP installed on your Windows machine, then you can take the file “example-decrypt.php” which is in the UpdraftPlus plugin, and follow the instructions in there.
