open_basedir restriction in effect

    Hello together,

    I have a similar problem like here:

    I also tried to instal a new version of wordpress on my database. And it’s also showing in the very first installation file this:

    Warning: file_exists() [function.file-exists]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/var/www/vhosts/stefanpassvogel.de/wp-config.php) is not within the allowed path(s): (/var/www/vhosts/stefanpassvogel.de/httpdocs/:/tmp/) in /var/www/vhosts/stefanpassvogel.de/httpdocs/wp-load.php on line 31

    I didn’t got from the threads what the solution for this problem is? Where do I have to edit what?

    open_basedir restriction in effect

    Contact your host and give them the error message. They should be able to offer you an explanation.
