    After installing the newest version I get the following error

    Warning: is_readable() [function.is-readable]: open_basedir restriction in effect.

    What do I need to do to fix this.

    I have two WordPress one a blog and another an eCommerce running on one domain. In the eCommerce website no problems in the blog site problems… help please.

  • This means your website is trying to read/write outside of the paths your host allows you to read/write in. Since Yoast SEO is only reading/writing to WordPress default folders, it is very likely that the restriction by your web host is too strict.

    Please contact them to have this resolved.

    Could you tell me which directories.. this way I can check permissions. I know my host has tighten up security because of being hacked.

    Where do you get that error? On the File editor screen?

    The error appear on the front page of my blog and inside after I activate the plugin.

    That’s weird… The only place in our code where is_readable is called is in the import screen. So…… Don’t really know what to do.
