@triplecookedchips Hi there, the handling of links is based on the AMP story format spec in #links-in-amp-story-grid-layer.
You can choose to add a “Call to Action” instead if you prefer, which would open the link in the same window after swiping up. This can be applied by clicking on your page background > navigate to Style panel > Call to Action and adding your link to the page.

Thanks for the response. I would like to include multiple links on one page so using the call to action does not solve my problem unfortunately.
Is it at all possible to alter how the link action behaves to stop it opening a new tab?

@triplecookedchips Links that are attached to elements on a page will always be 2-tap links because of the story format and to avoid any accidental taps when trying to tap the next page. This is the direction we plan to support. Sorry that I don’t have better news for you.
Got it and completely understand about the two tap, but does the link always have to open in a new tab? Is there no way to make the link open in the same window?
Correct, the regular links will open in a new tab and there isn’t a way to change this.
