Same problem here. The checkbox does not seem to be working, I mean, it is not there. I think it might be something broader, as I checked another mailchimp plugin and it is also not showing the checkbox under the comments section. It must be a bug, maybe connected to the recent wordpress update?
Hi,
I would recommend that you give our new version a shot. The integration’s have been completely re-worked and are far more stable than in the previous version.
You can download that version from here:
https://cloudup.com/files/iVYPwaobOjl/download
Once activated, head to the settings page enter your API key and save. Once connected, head into the ‘Integration Settings’ page, where you can then enable specific integration’s based on what plugins you have active on the site, as well as the comments and registration forms.
Hopefully we will be rolling this version out to the repository in the coming weeks.
Thanks,
Evan

I’m unsure how I go about adding the Opt-in checkbox option to my forms. I have already checked the box in WP, under MailChimp Settings (for this plugin). Where is says, “Display opt-in checkbox on comment forms?”, I have marked it “Show”. I assume the comment forms are referring to comments that visitors can make on blog posts and any pages where people can leave comments.
Unfortunately nothing is showing up when I update the changes. My blog post pages do have a comment section at the bottom of the page, but I never see an opt-in checkbox next to it.
Is there something else I need to do? I have also looked in my theme settings, in my post settings, and other places to see if I’m missing something, but I can’t quite figure out what else I need to do.
Thank you!!! 🙂
