Can you provide a link to an image where this is occurring? I just tried adding a “É” to the beginning of a test image however Optimus stilled optimized the image 100%.
Also, the original images are the optimized images. Meaning that once you upload an image and optimize it via Optimus, the image gets sent to the Optimus servers where the image is processed and then returned to your server.
All images are still stored in the same directory wp-content/uploads/…
Ok thanks
The photos still available but it’s strange. The most part of my 5400 pictures shows 0% optimized too, but I guess it’s probably because I used ewww optimizer in the past.. I will send you credentials for my site by email.
The free version has a limit of 500Kb file size. anywhere above it the plugin skip it. So the optimization stop. Sorry for bad English.
Hello,
I don’t have the free version, I have the paid version.
Did you compare the size of images before you upload and the size of your upload. I think that’s the optimized images percentage.

The percentage just indicate that not all images (thumbnails) have been optimized. Most commonly because the image was larger than 5MB.
Hello,
No, my images are all under 250kb and it happened only with the photos with a “É” as first letter in the title (not the name of the file), around 40-50 photos over 5400, so it’s not a coincidence.
@wcpalarao, just to clarify, the free version of Optimus compresses images up to 100kb in size.
@subfight you may need to double check that your system has end-to-end UTF-8 encoding.
Hi,
What do you mean by “my system”?

The configuration of your web server (apache, nginx, …), php and in your database (mysql).
I really think the problem is coming from your plugin, I just migrate to a new web host last weekend and the same thing happen. Anyway, for now i transfered the 20 files without french characters as first letter and optimus has compressed the files. Then I modified the title in wordpress after.
