    Hi!

My site is hosted in a Siteground account.

I tried the recommended option (which for me was Apache + suPHP) and told me that the configuration couldn’t complete and to check a link.

First I went to see the .htaccess file and at the end it said this:

    # Wordfence WAF

    # END Wordfence WAF

Then, I did everything this link said about the Manual Configuration.

The wordfence-waf.php was created, I added in the php.ini the path value in the auto_prepend_file variable, I turned off the auto_globals_jit and input “off” (without the quotes) in the display_errors variable.

So I went again to the .htaccess file to see if it worked, but the code was the same.

    Nothing happened.

What is happening? How can I solve this?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Thanks for reaching out. Can you reach out to me at wftest [at] wordfence [dot] com and include your forum username and a link to this post? I’d like to see what you added for the variable and since it includes a file path I would prefer to keep that private. Respond here after you sent it so I know to go look.

    Any luck with the variable?

I did the changes in the php.ini file of this site’s directory, and I noticed below a checkbox that says: “Apply changes to all sub-directories?”

Should I have checked that box?

    Anybody there?

I apologize for the delay. I didn’t see that you had responded. Since your diagnostics included potentially sensitive information, I’m responding to you there. Please check your inbox for an email with the subject “Firewall not optimized”
