    If you have an Or-Character (“|”) in your PHP-Code (even inside a string), WordPress will stop executing the PHP code and simple echo your script starting with the | character.
    This is at least what happened to me. I’m using WP 4.0 and the “Jarvis 3.4” Theme.
    I’m using “PHP Code for posts” now. This plugin is working for me.
