When I am logged in as a user I can see the Home sections including “Team” – I have the Orbit plugin installed. In the settings the “Team” section is set to visible.

Now the problem, when I log out as a user the “Team” section is no longer visible but most of the other sections are still there. The “Clients” also disappear.

I have tried to find a login option and can’t find it and also I have tried to find a security setting section which would control the viewing but I also can’t find it.

In the Orbit documentation it shows that the option to show or hide items is available.

** I am testing the free version, is there something I am missing?
    Thank you for your assistance.

    Hi,

Is the content in your Team and Clients sections updated? Meaning are you using the default content coming from the theme? Because the default content is meant to be shown just for logged in users.

If that is the case, you should just need to add your own content in those areas.

    Thank you!

Thank you, I have done as you suggested and I got the following results.
    1. The Team section showed up with my edit and the demo people. My insert did not format properly but I can work on that later (I only added one person and the layout was not aligned with previous entries).
    2. I had turned on Subscribe – this did not show.
    3. The client section showed up but without the title and introductory text.

    Hi,

For all frontpage sections, you need to make sure you add your content in all sections, for them to show up for non logged-in users.

About the Subscribe section, please make sure you follow all the steps provided here https://docs.themeisle.com/article/1904-how-to-customize-the-subscribe-section-in-hestia

    Kind regards,

    Rodica

Thank you @rodicaelena for your reply but I think I am not explaining the issue very clearly. There is different behavior for those logged on and those not.

One thing that would make it easier to debug is a logon button – not sure if this is only with the paid version for I can’t find a setting. This way I could toggle back and forth to test the effects.

My preference would be to have the user access easily defined so that sections could be toggled on or off by login privileges. I tried using a login with limited rights and had the same issues.

    Hi!
I’m not exactly sure I understand correctly, but here are my thoughts:

    1. To test the logged-in/logged-out behaviour, you can just login to your site as normal in the browser, and use the Incognito mode of the browser to test the logged out behaviour at the same time.
    2. If the issue is that the content of the frontpage is different for logged-in/logged-out users, please make sure all the content is changed by you in the Customizer, as the default content coming with the theme, is built to be visible just for logged-in users.
    3. If you want to have a way of making some sections visible just for logged-in users or for other specific cases, you’d need to add some customizations on your site, or look for a plugin that can help with this, as right now, this is not possible in the theme.

    Hope this helps.

    Kind regards!

Thank you for your very prompt response. Unfortunately I don’t think the approach taken by the Theme is workable for me at this time for the following reasons:
    1. Incognito does not reflect an actual user.
    2. As stated before, even when logged in it it not clear what type of user controls the visibility of sections and not all users should be given admin rights.
    3. The user logic is not clear as reflected by me adding content but having part of the section show up (see previous comment on client’s section not showing all the content).

I wish the team success. Cheers
