It might be an issue caused by a plugin or your theme.
I recommend installing this plugin: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/health-check/
After you install and activate the above plugin it has a Troubleshooting mode which allows you to have a vanilla WordPress session, where all plugins are disabled, and a default theme is used, but only for your user – your visitors will still see the normal website.
Go to its troubleshoot mode and only activate Simple Custom Post Order and see if it works correctly with a default WordPress theme (Twenty Nineteen for example) and no other plugins.

Bizarrely, with that enabled, the page in question redirected back to the homepage. So I couldn’t test it.

It is theme version 6.1.0 on Porto theme.
We use Gravity Forms plugins on there too, as it is an Application based Education website.
If you want to contact me directly, please supply and email and I will send you details. Oddly, in the Portfolio area of the theme, the Ordering works perfectly. Just not in the Team Members section. The first four are fine, but then it breaks. But ONLY in the ‘Show All” part of it,
