Order of 0 terms updated

    Hello,

    after manual sorting of woocomerce categories and hitting the “update order” button I get this message – “Order of 0 terms updated”.

    Although I have changed the order of categories. It behaves like in this toppic – https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/sorting-of-certain-child-terms-fails/

    Sometimes it messes up the entire order completely differently than it was manually set. And in some categories it works ok. I have already seen this issue once, but than (I assume after update) it worked ok.

    It messes up the sorting only for some subcategories … to some point lets say 1-20 subcategories it works, but for 21-25 it does not. The 21-25 are located at the start after update.

    If you open the subcategory in administration, it has the right “order number”, for example 21, but on frontend it is showed as the first (also in the term order plugin).

    Hi,

    It could be a different issue from that other post. That post seems to be about term_order being sorted as strings instead of integers.

    I don’t know why the admin screen doesn’t update the terms. Is there a JavaScript error in your console? What does the HTTP Get request look like, are they in the desired order?

    And could it be the parent term has a term_order set as 0?
    On the frontend, subterms are sorted as a floating number. So you have parent.child, like 4.5 for example.

    It might be two seaparate issues.
