    Hi,

no matter what attitude I make, the order of the products changes only in the dashboard, but not in the frontend. I also always clear the cache, but it does not work.

    WooCommerce – Product Catalog

    Thank you

    Hey there!

Can you tell me a bit more about exactly which options you’re using to change the product order? I’d like to try to reproduce it on my end.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

if I change the order of the products in the backend(product catalog) and publish, then that is also taken over. But if I go out of the item “product catalog” and then re-enter, then the order of the products is again alphabetical.
Then, logically, it always appears alphabetically in the frontend.

    Thx

    Hey there,

    Thanks for that extra information!

I gave this a try on my own test site – does this match what you’re seeing?

    Hi,

The mask is almost the same, but with me the products are displayed twice, once above, with a gray background and once below, with a white background.
I see that the products with you are displayed only once, with a white background.

If I change the order in the left skin menu, then the order is only changed by the products that are below, so have a white background.
If I change the order directly at the products with white background, then the order is also changed by the products, which are above, thus have a gray background.

But when I go out of the customizer and back into the customizer, the settings are gone again, respectively, the order is again alphabetically. This applies to all options. And in the frontend, the order is always displayed alphabetically.

I’ve also tried some php codes in my functions.php to clear the default order, but that does not work.

I would like to post screenshots, but unfortunately it does not work

    thx

    regards

It sounds like your theme, or possibly another plugin, is changing the way the products are displayed. That probably extends to the sorting options as well.

This kind of problem is usually caused by either a conflict with your theme or with another plugin.

The best way to determine this is to:

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

I have disabled all plugins, except Woocommerce, then switched to storefront, but the error remains the same.

But what could help. As I said, the products are displayed once above and once below. Below are all products displayed, so even those are marked as “private” and are not public. At the top, only the public products are displayed. And the changes are always applied to the lower products, but unfortunately the top products are in the frontend.

Here you can see that all products are double and that in the frontend.

Thanks for trying that and sharing your results.

Here’s what I see when I take a look at your site:

    Site

It looks like the white section at the bottom is a different area, perhaps a footer. This could very well be coming from a widget – can you please check to see if you have any widgets active?

    Thread Starter User777

    (@user777)

Yes, I immediately thought of a widget, but unfortunately it is not. I have 2 Widget enabled, but these do not cause any problems. It’s really a phenomenon, I do not know what else I could do.

    Wow, that’s a tricky one!

Beyond what I’ve already suggested, I’m out of ideas. The next step would be to review your site by logging in, which is something we can’t do from the forums.

For further support, I highly recommend contacting one of the services on our customizations page: https://woocommerce.com/customizations/

Ok, thanks, I’ll try it there.
