Ordering not working in 4.2.3

I am using your plugin on a clients website, and it seems that the ordering is not working. My recent posts show up at the bottom instead of at the top. Changing the ascending/descending makes no difference.

I searched the forums, and tried looking at previous solutions, but none of them seem to work. I looked at the FAQ, and tried that solution, but again, no luck.
