Hi KaiserSoze13, did you also e-mail me about 1-2 days ago?

If so, I’m sorry I didn’t respond yet. Honestly, I don’t have an answer yet.

The thing is, what you are asking is for mutlibyte string support if I’m not mistaken. There are a few other topics about this subject. I’m not experienced enough with those and WordPress’ compatibility with them (also, the database settings). I live in the Netherlands and we use a ‘plain’/default Western alphabet. For me, there aren’t many options to get experienced in this and understand it fully.

Just adding support for it isn’t enough (in my opinion), I need to know that the impact is. At the moment I don’t have a lot of time on my hands for this matter.

Are you experienced in this area?

Oh that’s too bad, but you were the one who e-mailed me?

Well I can’t give you any guarantees, but I’ll look into it when I have the time.

I wrote to you Jeroen, about the same issue BG TRANSLATION NEEDED!
Meanwhile, how could I activate the Russian translation? What should I add to the name-directory/index.php and where in the code?

KaiserSoze13 keep in touch with me, I am hardly trying to deal with the issue. We could talk at [email protected] and 0888 22 85 46 to overcome this issue even if we have to pay to developers…

Hi Grigcho7807, I got a similar response from KaiserSoze13 and later realized it was someone else who emailed me.

    I’m sorry I didn’t respond until now.

I have read your proposal to pay me, but money isn’t the issue. At this moment I am missing time (next to my dayjob and private life) ánd experience in the field of multibyte characters and PHP/Wordpress/MySQL.

    Are you experienced in this?

I am excessively reading on the topic and trying hard to resolve the issue. I am not a developer and just started to learn HTML & PHP.
As far as I understand a knowledgeable person could solve the issue in few (2-3) hours!

Could you just help on how to activate the Russian translation available. What and where in the code should be added/changed to transform the functional language from English to Russian?

Why do you need Russian language? We have only a character set for the terms/names index in mind. I think the plugin is simple enough and it does not need to have its menus translated.

My Web Site is in BG language, so I need the plugin have търси instead of search and А-Я букви instead of A-Z, защото съдържанието ми е на български (имената на птиците). Така, че ако има руски, както пише в supported languages ще ми свърши работа (кирилица).

Well, I would help, if I could, but I have no coding skills that could be of use 🙂

    Hi Grigcho7807,

the plugin itself is translated to Russian by a friendly contributer (RigKruger I think) here at the forums.
It should work if your WordPress site is in Russian too. What language code/pack do you have activated in wordpress?

Could you also please share your sources for the multibyte issues. Maybe that will help me.

    Kind regards Jeroen
