Hello, I am building my own website on WordPress and I have everything running fine on my BlueHost VPS but now when I try to install a plugin I receive this error on the search page. And also when I try to set up Jetpack I get this message below. Any help would be great, thanks!

    Search Page Error:

*An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with ww.wp.xz.cn or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.

    Jetpack Error:

    *Outbound HTTPS not working

Your site could not connect to WordPress.com via HTTPS. This could be due to any number of reasons, including faulty SSL certificates, misconfigured or missing SSL libraries, or network issues. Jetpack will re-test for HTTPS support once a day, but you can click here to try again immediately: Try again WordPress reports no SSL support. For more help, try our connection debugger or troubleshooting tips.

I’m using free SSL from BlueHost, I have tried deactivating and activating the plugin, I have tried making HTTPS in WordPress settings > general. Anyone, Please Help Me With This.

  • Hi @kamilraza,

I’ve just run your site on some SSL certificate validation tools and things look good.

As a first step here, would you please delete Jetpack and then reinstall it? You can follow these steps to do that:

    1. Start at Plugins > Installed Plugins.
    2. If Jetpack is currently active, click Deactivate to disable it. Then click Delete to remove it from your site:
    3. Go to Plugins > Add New.
    4. Search for “Jetpack by WordPress.com”.
    5. Click Install and then Activate.

When Jetpack is installed, click the green Set up Jetpack button to reconnect.

This handy guide explains that process in more detail:

You shouldn’t lose any settings or any of your stats or subscribers in doing so, as that info is stored in our system here.
