While it is technically possible to track outbound links with the plugin, it would require us to add a selector to each outbound link.
Would you be able to update the plugin to track any outbound link by default? Basically track all clicks that include a domain that doesn’t equal client’s domain. Here is a link to Google on how to set it up.
