We have selected template 8 but the output does not match the selected template or show any of the modification that we have made to colour scheme

Looks like the theme is breaking the plugin as it shows correctly on a plain page

Still doesn’t appear to work. Can’t login to the download site either to download a new copy of the plugin

You don’t need to download it again. If “Team members with Slider” is already installed, then go to your site and activate it with the license key. The license key is already sent in your email.
