• If WordPress had a zero star. This is how I would rate what Shareaholic has done. I have now 3 weight loss ads and other ones in my each of blog posts which is something not related to my blog. All that without my approval. Also their instructions on how to not opt-in into their ads program does not work. you have to login and go thru a painful process to turn the feature off. Stay out of it. It show the character of who runs the company.

  • Hi @mmontoni,

Thank you so much for addressing your concerns, and so sorry for the disappointment. We tried our best to clearly communicate these features to our users through our blog, FAQs, social media channels, and mass email. If you do not receive these updates via email, you can easily sign up here: https://blog.shareaholic.com/shareaholic-email-signup/

As a user, you benefit from these products, too! Here’s how: https://blog.shareaholic.com/generate-revenue-shareaholic-promoted-content/

Again, we’re very sorry to see you go. And since we are a startup, we still have a lots of growing to do, and improving on ways we can better launch our products. This is why your feedback is greatly appreciated. Let me know if there’s anything I can help you with in the future. My e-mail is below if you need to reach me directly. 🙂

    Sincerely,

    Hi Maryanne,

thanks for the kind reply but, but I shouldn’t need to sign up for emails to receive a notification about Ads that I did not approve are being displayed in my blog… also, the feature where we can disable this it is not working in the configuration section. So, your company is making it very difficult for us to opt-out of this service.

@mmontoni, I’m currently using this plugin and it is pretty simple to disable the related/promoted content. I just did it. I do not like that it shows both the promoted as well as my blog posts links. There is no simple way to select. It also displayed link to some of my deleted posts and I could not remove that either. So I have disabled it altogether.

    Hi @gitika18,

So sorry to hear that! That’s not suppose to happen. Do you mind enabling the plugin so we can investigate why the deleted pages are being recommend? Once you do, please send the URL to your website and we’ll investigate the issue right away. Happy to resolve this for you.

    Thanks,
    Mary Anne

@maryanne_shareaholic Thanks for responding! Here is the link-
    http://www.plantbasedhealthy.com/carrot-spinach-smoothie/

Now in the related contents, the middle box in the first row shows no picture but a title (which has been changed) and is clickable. When you click the box, you get the same post you are reading, which is again – http://www.plantbasedhealthy.com/carrot-spinach-smoothie/

Sorry, it is not delete post, but the post that’s title has been deleted and changed. So it is basically suggesting the same post that we are reading as a related content.

I’d appreciate you can help me fix that asap coz I do not want to keep that kind of links to show up.
    Thanks.
