Love the plugin so far; it’s exactly what I needed.

I’m styling all the things, including the transition/animation of the overlay from top to bottom. Where can I find this bit of code to change?

It’s not recommended to edit the plugin code directly, as it will be overwritten by the next update. I recommend adding CSS/JS to your child theme or the WordPress Customizer > Additional CSS (if it’s just CSS).

That transition is actually controlled by the javascript on line 122 of this file: https://github.com/allurewebsolutions/wordpress-post-modal/blob/master/public/js/wp-post-modal-public.js

If you prefer to turn that off or change to another animation you can add your own JS in place of the slideDown() method.

Would be great if the transition could be modified in admin on a future release.

Any chance you could provide an example of how we can modify with our own JS?

If you look at lines 188 – 192 of this file in the plugin, you will see where transition is being defined: https://github.com/allurewebsolutions/wordpress-post-modal/blob/master/public/js/wp-post-modal-public.js

To modify it would require a little bit of Javascript/jQuery knowledge, but nothing a googling can’t solve.
