    Unfortunately, it isn’t possible to modify a widget without custom development at quite an advanced level. By block I assume you mean widget. Changing a widget would be something you could ask the widget developer. So a product category block, is that for WooCommerce? If so, WooCommerce develop and control that widget.

    I have someone who can do the custom development but we were not wanting to edit the plugin core.

    We will look at that now.

    (Any custom development work you do should be done in an update safe manner. So ideally you wouldn’t be editing any existing plugins but rather extending them in your own plugin or theme.)
