Override Author?

I have postie working through a Contact Form 7 form and i want to have a field for the person using the form to specify who they are. I’d like that data to specify the author of the post in wp. Since the form submissions are always coming to postie with the same email address i’m not able to specify author in the regular way (sender’s email). Is there a way to override the post author setting?
