Is there a way to override the map marker with your own coordinates?

I need a way to set the map marker more precisely as using a street address or postal code does not work for a park locations or a college/university campus.

If not, please add this feature as soon as possible.

On the edit venue page you can drag and drop the marker. Alternatively, where it displays the co-ordinates of the venue you can click to edit them directly.

Please note that editing the venue address will cause the co-ordinates to be re-calculated from the address given.

Sorry for the confusion, when you add a new venue [+] while posting a new event.

The map drag and drop did not work (only moved the map not the marker) and there were not any Latitude/Longitude fields to enter new coordinates.

In the venue section itself, yes it worked as you said. However if adding a new event, sometimes you don’t always have the venue set beforehand.

Thank you for responding to my post.

That’s right, it only works on the venue admin screen. You’ll have to edit the venue after creating it from the edit event screen (or create the venue first).

Thank you for the information and the warning about editing the address will recalculate the coordinates.

Maybe in the future you would consider having add a new venue [+] as a popup window with the same ability as the Add New Venue in the back-end. Of course this is not a major issue (very low priority), just an idea to help make a very good plugin just a little more awesome.

Thanks again for responding to my post and answering my questions.
