Overview and other Statistics error
-
Hello.
Nothing working on the general or every single separate menu of Statistics. Nothing is visible, only spinning uploading circles.
Works OK only on Dashboard.
Thanks.

This error situation has started since the last update of today, circa 3 hours ago.

PHP version: 7.2.7
Linux server.I had the same issue , simply spinning icons, site not loading, no entries in error log
I disabled the plugin, updated WP to 5.1 (was 5.0.3 before), renabled and re-activated the plugin and its working again
maybe that helps someone
Edit: actually , previous WP version may have been 4.9.8 or whatever the last 4.x was. not sure to be honest

hi ollybach
thanks for your comment.@cineghid
first update your wordpress.
if you have problem , please check console log error in (google chrome) inspect element and give me error text. It’s updated already at 5.1, before your pluggin update from today.
The problem is in Firefox, now I find out that. In Chrome Overview is visible, but only in Desktop version of it. On mobile the same issues as in Firefox.
But still gives me 2 messages in Chrome :
-Unchecked runtime.lastError: The message port closed before a response was received.
mixpanel-2-latest.min.js:14 Mixpanel error: “mixpanel” object not initialized.-Ensure you are using the latest version of the Mixpanel JS Library along with the snippet we provide.
And in Firefox error texts are (if I’m not wrong):
– Loading mixed (insecure) display content “http://www.cineghid.ro/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/site-icon.png” on a secure page[Learn More] FaviconLoader.jsm:134:6
– Loading mixed (insecure) display content “http://www.cineghid.ro/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/site-icon-80×80.png” on a secure page[Learn More] FaviconLoader.jsm:134:6And the common problem in Firefox and Chrome is that daily stats are blocked only on today, same values on any other day!!!
In fact 6 error messages in total on Chrome console:
-Unchecked runtime.lastError: The message port closed before a response was received.
mixpanel-2-latest.min.js:14 Mixpanel error: “mixpanel” object not initialized.-Ensure you are using the latest version of the Mixpanel JS Library along with the snippet we provide.

There is a jQuery error in WordPress.
I suggest once disabling other plugins and test again.
You’re probably also using the visual composer -> [mixpanel-2-latest.min.js]Disabled all other pluggins, but the issues are the same.
BTW my WordPress is genuine and real time updated.
Let me repet please, the problems are since your latest pluggin update from yesterday and are only in Overview and other Statistics menu.
I’m not using any Visual composer.
I forgot to answer 🙂
@cineghid Do not give anyone access to your site. That’s never safe and the plugin author is getting a note about that too.

This is serious and I’ve flagged your account to ensure that you understand that. I’ll also be reviewing and removing all replies like that.
I’ve deleted your offer to login to your user’s site. I’m am 100% sure you mean well but please never ask for credentials on these forums.

Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.
If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.
Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the plugins team.
There are many ways to get information you need and accessing the user’s site is not one of them. That’s going too far.
- Ask for a link to the http://pastebin.com/ log of the user’s web server error log.
- Ask the user to create and post a link to their
phpinfo();output. - Ask the user to install the Health Check plugin and get the data that way.
- Walk the user through enabling WP_DEBUG and how to log that output to a file and how to share that file.
- Walk the user through basic troubleshooting steps such and disabling all other plugins, clear their cache and cookies and try again.
- Ask the user for the step-by-step on how they can reproduce the problem.
You get the idea.
Volunteer support is not easy. But these forums need to a safe place for all users, experienced or new. Accessing their system that way is a short cut that will get you into real trouble in these forums.
Please try to test in Private browsing/Incognito and let us know about the result of your test.
