Padding adjustment advice

I’ve installed this theme Onetone and tried to adjust the padding 50px 0 but it is not adjusting between smartphone, laptop, desktop. When you click on Home, there is white space on the top where the Services start and part of Services can be seen and then a lot of white space before the About Us section and same thing here. Is there another way around it please? Thanks!
