Padding & Margin Default values

    Hi, I am enjoying this plugin and finding the options are making developing a breeze.

    The one thing that is driving me crazy though is that the padding and margin defaults are always set to 20px – what if I wanted to have 10px for example, or 0px (if my theme handles the spacing already)?

    Currently, I am having to update every single block that I create, and I then have to update each viewport as well – which is taking a lot of extra time.

    I have searched high and low, but cannot find anywhere to set / remove the default padding / margin.

    Does this functionality exist? Or do I just have to keep removing it every time I create a new block?

    Hey Chris,

    Yes, that’s a weird thing and we can’t really change the defaults because it will affect the existing sites but we’re planning on adding “global defaults” where you will be able to change defaults for the blocks.

    Hope it makes sense. Let me know your thoughts. 🙂

    Hi Hardeep,

    Thanks for the response, yes – I understand you cant change the defaults and the reason given.

    Including a global defaults or an override for a consumer to use would be amazing though and would save a lot of time.

    Do you have any sort of idea as to how long it will be before we see something like this?

    Hi Chris,

    Our next major release will be next week, so once that is done we can start working on global default. You can expect it within a month or two.

    Hey Hardeep,

    Apologies for the super delayed response – I am looking at the site now – and I still cannot see anywhere to update and maintain the global values for margins and paddings – I have updated to the latest version of the plugin.

    Can you point me to where I can update these values?

    Hey @chriscdk,

    Global Options is still not there, we’re working on it. I meant the bug with 0 values denied was fixed in the latest release. 🙂

    Global Defaults were introduced in Otter about two weeks ago in 1.4.0 release. Let us know if you have tried them. 🙂
