I installed a cache plugin but I never activated it.

Could you please open Permalinks page and try to resave it? This will recreate the permalinks.

which settings should I choose to have website-url/product-slug and editable product slug ?
Each time I saved a different setting than default settings, I had the 404 error. May be would you like the access to backoffice ?

What version of the WordPress and WooCommerce do you have?
I did test it with recent WordPress, WooCommerce and Storefront theme and it is working ok. Most likely this is some other plugin providing an issue.
Please install ‘Monkeyman Rewrite Analyzer’ or ‘Rewrite Rules Inspector’ plugin and check the permalinks.

WP version is 5.3, and Woo is 3.9.3.
I installed rewrite rules inspector, but I don’t see anything new.
