do you need a filterable list?
i am trying to understand the result you are looking for.
can you share a link to a website that shows an example of the end result you need.
can you share a link to your website so I can see how things are currently structured?
are you planning to use PAGES or POSTS or a custom post type.
POSTS have archives by month/year already built in to wordpress dropdown widget.
Hi,
Filterable list sounds like a possible answer. My website now is badly structured and what I am envisioning would be the best way to fix it.
I don’t know of a website that does this offhand, but I am pretty sure I have seen something similar.
What I want is to send the user to a particular page based on the year, month and date they select from drop-down list boxes. So yes, I am filtering the destination web page based on what is chosen in the box. I am doing this on pages, not posts. Also, different date combinations might lead to the same page. I am not looking for something published on the date chosen, I am looking to send people to specific content based on the date they choose.
Thank you
lisa

if your website is badly structured, you might want to fix that up before trying to add a new functionality. it might make it easier for you to accomplish the result.
if i was trying to get something to be selectable by date parameters like you describe, i would work with POSTS instead of PAGES so i could tag and categorize each post to give more meta data.
since I cannot see your website, it’s hard for me to recommend more.
I should have written badly organized, not badly structured. This idea was supposed to fix that.
I am going to try to keyword/tag each page and then see if there is a good search widget I can use. I may have been over-thinking this in wanting to program drop-down lists.
Thanks

yes, using thoughtful categories and tags can help to gather collections of your information if they are in posts.
