On the Photo Albums -> Settings admin page:
Untick Table IV-A1.3 Ajax scroll (default is ticked)
In version 7.6.02 there is also Table IV-A1.4 Non Ajax scroll (default is unticked)

Now I have made an update to WPPA+ version 7.6.02.
IV-A1.3 Ajax scroll is not checked
IV-A1.4 non Ajax scroll is checked
I tried all combinations.
With links in a lightbox, it works as it should.
In the case of links that should open albums and sub-albums, the image scrolls down a little.
But that’s not that bad anymore.
Can there be any improvement?
Otherwise I am very satisfied.

You should untick them both, then reload the page and the jumping will stop.

Now i untick both (IV-A1.3 and IV-A1.4). The site jumps up after click to album.

Oh, oh – it´s tricky….
Now I’ve tried all possible combinations again
and checked the following process:
I click on an album (“headline” or “show xx photos”) so that it opens.
1. combination
Table IV-A1.3: on (checkbox is ticked)
Table IV-A1.4: on
Result: The page jumps all the way down. If an album is opened that has many thumbnails, the page will scroll down, but not all the way to the end.
2. combination
Table IV-A1.3: off
Table IV-A1.4: off
Result: The page jumps all the way up.
3. combination
Table IV-A1.3: on
Table IV-A1.4: off
Result: The page jumps all the way up.
4. combination
Table IV-A1.3: off
Table IV-A1.4: on
Result: The page jumps all the way down. If an album is opened that has many thumbnails, the page will scroll down, but not all the way to the end.
All results are most identical on laptop, iPad and iPhone.
Except iPhone in 1. and 4. Combination: The page scrolls down a bit, but not all the way to the end.
The first combination is currently set again:

This looks like a conflict with another plugin or the theme.
Can you set them both off now? then i can look further.

Are you sure ajax is enabled? (IV-A1.0)
If you have a caching plugin, make sure you clear all caches.
Also try disabling SEO plugin (temporarely)
When Ajax is activated, and you hoover over the ‘Zeige .. Fotos’, you should not see the link in the left bottom corner of the browser window; when you click the link, the page should not be reloaded, but you should see a spinner and then changing the content of the album into the thumbnails.
When you get this working, tick IV-A1.3 to make the page shift so that the thumbnail area comes near the top of the window. See https://wppa.nl/my-album/ for how it should work.
