page analysis glitches

I have the latest version of yoast installed with the latest version of wordpress and I am having some glitches involving page analysis with titles.
The first time I ran the analysis it said “The page title contains 26 characters, which is less than the recommended minimum of 40 characters”
and it also said “The page title contains keyword / phrase, but it does not appear at the beginning; try and move it to the beginning.”
After noticing these errors I extended the length of the title and moved the keywords to the beginning of the title. I saved the draft, I checked the analysis again – still it said the EXACT same errors claiming my title was only 26 characters and that the keywords were not at the beginning – even though i had fixed the errors.
I tried saving the post to published – still the errors showed.
The only thing that seems to work is deleting the entire post – recreating it, and putting the correct info the first time. Updating after the analysis seems to fail on the title checks everytime.
Is this a glitch? Or am I missing some key settings feature?
