Page break / spacing height?

Is there any way to control the height between page breaks? Since WP seems to add <p> to posts and what not, it produces a gap between titles and things. In Firefox, the gap doesn’t look bad… but in IE the gap is even larger.

So I’ve been trying to figure out a way to keep it from spacing so far a part. I have failed. I guess I’m to old fashion and prefer tables. At least there I can precisely place things where I want them. Thanks.
