I didn’t asked to give me the credentials.
I meant: Why you want to install the extensions without FTP, your WP site asks you to enter the ftp credentials on extension install but you don’t know them?

You need to have installed an ftp server.
It doesn’t matter if your site is local or not, the script connects to the provided host. If your php script can connect to local.so, then everything should work fine.

I’ve tried git method you suggested. i’ve run the script in it. script connects to git but i get an error saying permission denied. what can be the reason?
