    hi guys,

been using WP Super Cache on many sites for many years. The URL https://www.sonnenhaus-institut.de/das-sonnenhaus/partner.html ist a WP page. And it’s not being cached. Why? All posts and other pages go well in the preloaded cache. The above page does contain some extra PHP via PHP Shortcode Plugin to fetch the partner entries.

WP Super Cache config just excludes archives, feeds, tags and authors. Nothing else. Also, i preloaded the whole cache. Page still not in. Caching is active for ALL users. Also in use but surely not interfering: autoptimize.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hello there – We recommend enabling debug mode in WP Super Cache to better understand why the page isn’t being cached. Once debug mode is active, try loading the problematic page (/das-sonnenhaus/partner.html) and then check the debug log — it should indicate the reason it’s being excluded from the cache.

It’s possible that the shortcode pulling dynamic content is preventing caching, but the debug log will confirm this.

You can find the steps to enable debug mode here: https://jetpack.com/support/wp-super-cache/enabling-the-debug-mode

Let us know what the log shows, and we’ll be happy to take a closer look if needed.

    Hi there, @ffwebdesigner,

Do you have updates about that, do you still need help? We usually close inactive threads after one week of no movement, but we want to make sure we’re all set before marking it as solved. Thanks!

i’ll check debig on the next case it occurs.
wp fastest cache does what it should also on our pages including custom php shortcodes.
    thank you!

    Hi @ffwebdesigner,

Thanks for following up, and I’m glad to hear you found a caching solution that works well for your site.

Just to confirm for future reference: in cases where a page isn’t cached by WP Super Cache, enabling debug mode is the best way to check why it’s being excluded. Very often, pages with dynamic PHP output (like custom shortcodes) can prevent caching, and the debug log will show if that’s the case.

Since you’ve switched to another caching plugin and things are working fine now, I’ll go ahead and mark this thread as resolved. If you ever want to revisit WP Super Cache on another project, you’ll know where to start. 🙂

    Best regards,
    Alin
