Page Not Found Error

Okay so I’m not sure if this is the plugin or my server that’s having the problem, so please advise if you think I need to talk to my host.
I’m trying to import my posts from site A to site B. It’s not a huge site or file; there’s about 100 posts and they are not graphics heavy (i.e. there’s maybe 10 images in total).
Every time I try to import, step 1 works fine (assign authors) and then when it tries to load step 2 (?import=wordpress&step=2), I get a 404 error.
My file is 1.5 MB, I’m using plugin V 0.6.1, with Chrome as my web browser. I also tried with Safari and the 404 still occurs.
If I try reloading the 404 page (step 2) it asks me “Are you sure you want to do this?” and then there’s no option for me to click “yes” or “no.”
I suspect this might be a timing out error?
