Hi @chromax,
Thank you for reaching out.
Can you please check the “Show Posts/pages in search results” setting under SEO → Search Appearance → Content Types (tab) → Posts/pages box? Is that configured as Yes for both your pages and posts post type?
Hi Jeroen,
I checked the settings – both of them are configured as “Yes”.
Hey @chromax,
That’s odd. I checked your page /about/ and it does have an index on it and the canonical is correct is well, which would mean it should be included in the page sitemap if that is enabled.
A next step would be to try and disable the sitemap feature (under SEO → General → Features (tab), save the change, clear the cache on your site and server, and then re-enable the setting to see if that resolves the issue.
If it does not, a conflict check would be in place to check if the sitemaps are created when Yoast SEO is the only active plugin on the site. You can do with the steps found here: https://yoast.com/help/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts/
Hi Jeroen,
I already tried that but unfortunately it didnt work. I think I would just turn it off and I would generate the sitemap with another plugin.
Too bad that didn’t work. If it’s not working when Yoast is the only plugin on the site, then there is definitely something edge-case going on on your site and we would need to investigate this on the site. However, that is not possible here on our the ww.wp.xz.cn forums.
If you want us to further investigate this, consider purchasing Yoast SEO Premium which comes with personal support.
We are going ahead and marking this issue as resolved due to inactivity. If you require any further assistance please create a new issue.
