• Hi I have a problem if anyone can help please.
i am trying to get a page to password privacy.
However my WordPress Address (URL) is different to my Site Address (URL)
(as i changed it for marketing purposes, – long story but its different) So if i edit a page and put it as password privacy it works if both WP url and Site url are set the same, but doesnt if its different.

Alternatively if i try and change my WordPress url by renaming the root file etc will this screw up my links and site and give me a bigger headache then trying to create a password page.

    What does this mean exactly?
Are you using a plugin for privacy? Are you creating a page to block access to your entire site? Are you creating a single page that requires a password to read that page? Are you creating a private page?
(Most of these have nothing to do with what the site URL and WP URL is.)

You can set the password in the editor or using Quick Edit.

In the editor, click Edit in the sidebar where it says Visibility.

In Quick Edit, type your password and click Update.
