This trouble-shooting worked amazingly! Thank you! What I needed to do was protect the full page with the actual link to the book, that way, when I shared my thumbnail book, there was still access to that as long as I did not allow protection to the full page, but only the custom post type.
THis allows me to make a custom book, and protect the link to the book from the outside, but still being able to show a thumbnail version of that same book on an unprotected or partial protected page, without the entire page becoming a protected page due to the protection on the book or custom post.

THis is actually an ongoing issue with the flip-books that is talked about in the forum. I will let them know about this membership plugin and the full page protection.

Is there a way to have members in multiple memberships at a time. Some members want to be in several different memberships.
Unfortunately at present that is not possible. However the developers have added this feature in their to do list.
