    Hi Tobias,

I have a code question that may be more related to page customization for some of my TablePress content.

I’m happy with the background color for my tables, but I’m tying to see what they might look like on the webpage with a consistent background color. Basically, I’m trying to change the background color of an individual webpage, to accommodate the TablePress information I’m using.

Is there a css code I may be able to use to change the background color of the page? I’m not sure if I’m supposed to use a page ID or how I might be able to change the background color of a single page.

    Here’s the page I’m working with: http://dalaigroup.com/maryland-seo/

I’m trying to bypass the default theme settings for the background color and set the page background color to white. I’ve only been able to use boxed content at this point.

Thanks so much for any tips or suggestions you may have!

    Hi Stephanie,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

For experiments with coloring, I recommend playing with the colors using the developer tools in your browser, I suggest Chrome for this.
This is much quicker and easier than changing CSS somewhere and having to reload the page all the time.

When it then comes to making a (permanent) change, you’ll however need to add CSS to your theme. However, as the procedure for that strongly depends on the theme, I can only suggest that you then ask the theme support team about that.
(You could add the CSS to the TablePress “Custom CSS” text field, but that’s not really ideal.)

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Thanks Tobias.

I know that I want to change the background color to white, but I’ll definitely have a look at the browser tools for any further experiments with color. I’ve also tried using tools like CSS Hero, but it changes the background color for the entire theme, not the page.

I’ll send another ticket to theme support.

    Thanks again
