    When I originally set up the Password Protect plugin with my new webpage (about a week ago), everything was working fine. Then after several days, the webpage no longer loads when the password is entered. I can deactivate the plugin and allow access, but when the plugin is activated the page is not accessible.

    I do not understand if this is a problem with the plugin itself or compatibility with my hosting service (GreenGeeks).

  • Do you have any caching plugins installed?

    If you empty your browser cache or try a different browser does the same thing happen?

    I don’t think so. I have Askimet and Hello Dolly installed, but neither are activated. I do have a static homepage, but I don’t think it is cached. The same thing happens on different browsers.

    My hosting provider looked into it and diagnosed that the “plugin is not working correctly with [my] website”. Brilliant.

    SO, several weeks ago I downloaded the update and the password was working again until today. Any idea what happened (again) to cause the same problem? I haven’t changed anything else other than adding a translation plug in (Transposh) several days ago and well before the password stopped working.
