Pagebuilder Layout and Blocks Lost

    Hi Guys,

    I spent 3-4 hours to create a landing page with Siteorigin page builder. Once I was finalizing it, the layout was lost. I deactivated all other plugins to check any conflict but still it’s not working. On the front end the layout is the same but on the backend, I no more have widgets and site origin layout. Please help.

    Thanks. This layout was built in the Block Editor but is currently being edited in the Classic Editor. The Classic Editor plugin allows for pages to be opened in Block or Classic view. This page needs to be opened in the Block Editor. If you’d like instructions to migrate this page to the Classic Editor, please, let us know.

    Try going to Pages, hover over the page in question, and click Edit (block editor).

    Thanks for the quick reply Andrew. Actually I read somewhere that I need to install a classic editor in order to resolve this issue but it didn’t work. Now I disabled the classic editor plugin but still in the block editor I am facing the problem. Please see below ss.

    Thanks. On the right there are three vertical dots, try clicking that to open the menu and try the block recovery.

    Got this after recovery. The layout is fine now but the boxes are not there so I can not edit it easily..The site origin template boxes are not visible.

    That’s preview mode in the Block Editor. Click on the block so the settings appear, click the pencil.

    Super, glad to hear you’ve made progress.

    I’m not sure what data was parsed that caused the Block Editor to fall into that recovery mode. If the issue occurs again, please, let us know. We’ll take a look at an export from the page and investigate from there.
